About Our School
In the year 1915, local Zamindar and an eminent education enthusiast (late ) shree Nripendra Narayan Ghosh founded the school after the name of his beloved father to educate the local youths. After the sudden demise of shree Nripendra Narayan Ghosh in 1917, (late)Shree Gopal Chandra Kole, Shree Marhum Azizur Rahman Sardar, (Late)Shree Surya Kumar Banerjee, Shree Jatindra Banerjee - these eminent education enthusiasts took the responsibility to safeguard the institute. In the year 1919, the three sons of (Late) Nripendra Narayan Ghosh, (late) shree Sharashi Charan Ghosh, (Late) Shree Jaydeb Narayan Ghosh, (Late) Shree Matangi Charan Ghosh handed the school over to a trustee by singing a registered deed of gift and stated donating 50rupees to the school fund on a monthly basis . With their Initiative the second floor of the main building was built by the name of "Nripendra Memorial Hall" in 1937.
In the year 1959, the institute stepped up successfully towards higher secondary education and with government aid through the land acquisition of present day "Bigyan Bhavan", the institute has gradually been flourished. It is to be mentioned that the landlady (Late) smt, Amiyabala Ghosh, wife of (late)Shree Sharashi Charan Ghosh, unveiled her deep affection by gifting her share of lands (1/3rd) to the school authority.
In the year 1976, the institute associated with a newly revised (10+2) academic curriculum. Currently the institute has a wide range of subjects to offer in the fields of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Our heartfelt desire is to make the centenary legacy of Abhay Charan Ghosh High school go towards an even more brighter future along with its teachers, non teaching staffs, parents and students.

With a mission to spread education in Sankrail and its surroundings, local zamindar (late) shree Nripendra Narayan Ghosh established Sankrail Abhay Charan Ghosh High School in Memory of his beloved father (late) Shree Abhay Charan Ghosh. The school has come a long way and celebrated its centenary. In this long journey, the supports and sacrifices of numerous education enthusiasts remain immortal. Like wise, to make the founder's dreams come true many of our eminent alumni are self settled in various places around the globe. Our present batch of students must remember the significant examples of their senior alumni and follow their footsteps. We all must commit to always hold our center's reputation sky-high.
We must remember that the mission of education is not only for materialistic development but to build humanity and develop moral values among students to make them the responsible citizens of India . Our students must acquire a few attributes , such as - Discipline, attentiveness, honesty, generosity, neutrality, respectfulness, sense of responsibility, helpfulness etc. Thus, they could take the country, our society forward.
Our institute is not free from errors, but we are not afraid of that. We have firm belief that with the help of teachers, non teaching staffs, parents, students and educationists, we will beat all odds and hold our institute's reputation high again.

We endeavour constantly to instill these qualities in our children. We pride ourselves to help them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation.
